Hope House Children’s Services Department has successfully wrapped up another year, and we are proud to announce that in 2011 Hope House was able to serve 69 homeless children. Each and every child residing at Hope House had a wonderful year full of hopes and dreams made possible by parents, staff and our awesome community volunteers. Thank You!

We are looking forward to a great year in 2012 and encourage community volunteers to become involved with the mission of Hope House. You will be glad you did. During a child’s stay at Hope House, we seize the opportunity to make a positive impact on each child by providing the necessary tools for each one to reach their fullest potential. We also want our infants/toddlers to meet age appropriate developmental milestones. Reaching these milestones is very important; therefore, we provide structured daycare, in a safe environment where they can learn and grow. At the age of two, we transition our little ones into Hope House Pre-K Readiness Program designed to prepare the children to learn. We want each child to be eager to learn and explore. Our trained staff teaches them basic skills (letters, numbers, colors, shapes, position, etc.), self-control and trust. But, the learning doesn’t stop there! During the school year, Hope House provides its afterschool program to all school age children. After each school day, every child receives a healthy snack, tutoring/homework assistance and life skills training. So far we have had a very successful school year, and we plan to keep that trend going. There are no limits to what our kids can do!

The children of Hope House are flourishing and it is possible because of the programs we have in place to help our children meet their full potential. It goes without saying that without our strong staff and community volunteers it wouldn’t be possible. It is our mission to provide essential services that empower our children, and each day we strive to foster these children to reach for the stars! We want them to see that they have a bright future ahead of them when they work hard, strive for excellence and enjoy being all that they can be!
